Adam 亚当 古老、陈旧、原始的象征。
据《圣经·旧约·创世纪》（Bible, Old Testament, Genesis）第2章记载，上帝在创造了万事万物之后，在第六天创造了人，以替他管理世上的一切。上帝根据自己的模样，“用地上的尘土造人，将生气吹在他的鼻孔里，他就成了有灵的活人。”（And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.）这就是亚当——世界第一人、人类的始祖。自亚当之后，人类才开始在大地上繁衍生息，一代又一代，一年又一年，如今人类的文明已经辉煌到了21世纪，对如今的人们来说，亚当——我们的老祖宗已经是很古老很原始很陈旧的记忆了，所以，在英语里，“亚当”（Adam）成了“古老、陈旧、原始的象征”。如；
